Re your galvanised fire brazier I would suggest your local garden centre (mine is the Co op and they usually have 2-3 in stock at all times.

Well done on your allottment they are fun I have had mine for 6 mnths luckily the other allottmentees have helped me immensily.

Hi All,
I'm new to grapevine and veg growing too and I am hoping to take posession of an allotment within the next few weeks. Any advice on clearing ground (particularly brambles) will be greatly appreciated.

hi Kirsty and welcome sounds like you and me are in the same boat just took on plot 37 in sunny Dartford still a couple of plots going spare. mine too has a lot of brambles to clear and way over grown but got to start somewhere i guess so tomorrow weather willing off i'll go with my gloves and secuters and make a start at chopping down the brambles
