I have eventually got an allotment, big thanks to mrsc2b for all her help.

I live in North Warrington but come under Wigan council and have had my name on the list for 18 months and am currently No 25 ( a 4 year waiting list ). Following a post that mrsc2b put on and a few PM messages, I contacted St helens council and have now got one ( plot 35 on Havannah lane, next door to mrsc2b ). Its 10 mins away which is no big deal.

I never thought about putting my name down on another council, I live on the borders of 3 councils so the best advice I could give to anyone who lives on them also is to contact all of them and put your name down

Can't wait to get started, needs alot doing, but I don't mind hard graft, will post some pics as soon as I can.

Good one Darren. I got mine in Lymm a month or so ago and it's fab - then got offered one at the Kingsway site this week but have turned that down as I couldn't cope. However, it does look like they're getting down the waiting list at last.
