    Hi all can anyone tell me how long i keep horse droppings.to date i have filled a bin 5'x5'x4' i have been putting some grass cuttings in between,i usually wait untill next year to mix in with my mormal compost bins)ie Veg peelings etc)

    If you stick your arm in the middle of the heap and don't get third degree burns, it should be ok to use!

      Horse Manure should be kept seperate in its own pile. Use a bit in the rest of your compost to give it a kick start.

      Keep it till it looses its smell and stops looking like manure. It all needs to be the same colour and texture...like soil.
