But then in saying that, I did exactly as SarzWix did last year (as I've only got half a plot and wanted to squeeze lots in) and got great results

Hi

I just got back from my easter break, and what a fantastic response to this
thread. Many thanks to all that replied. I will be going with
row spacings = inter-plant gap and then offsetting the planting where practical to squeeze some more crop space.

I also did get a copy of the square foot gardener, I will not be creating his super soil to expensive for an allotment plot in my opnion. But will definately be using some of his other ideas & suggestions.
