White wash

I would like to give my fruit trees and old currants white wash, and shed inside to detter spiders. I am confused which product to buy? Is calcium hydroxide same as garden lime?

I want to do mostly for protection. I have few quite old trees.

Calcium oxide is quick lime, Calcium hydroxide is slaked lime, Calcium carbonate is garden lime. They gradually convert one to the other, left to right, with the addition of water and carbon dioxide from the air.
