Hello and welcome to the vine Marmande
I'm also a back garden grower and find its best for me to sow in modules first that way I don't get gaps so there's less wasted space. I also use troughs and assorted containers for things like lettuce and anything I don't have space for.

Hello from the East of England!
Hello all,
I've been lurking in this forum for a while but had so many questions of my own that I thought I'd better register!
I live in Cambridgeshire and have grown fruit and veg for about 12 years, with varying degrees of commitment. Before we had kids, we had an allotment and had redcurrants, parsnips and artichokes coming out of our ears. As a result, I'm also keen on jam-making, brewing, chutneying and finding ways to preserve stuff in general. Since having kids, we've moved to the city centre and now live in a typical urban semi with a postage stamp-sized garden and no allotment . In the last couple of years, I've started growing things again (mostly tomatoes, beans and courgettes), so I'm keen to get advice about how to make my tiny plot as productive as possibleTags: None
