Another option would be growing in containers/pots. Lots of us do that, whether we have a plot or not.
Do you have room for a greenhouse, even one of those "blowaway " ones as that would give you more scope to grow tomatoes and the warm weather lovers?

It's a rental so can't do much.
There are three muddy spots in the yard I could dig up plus a small patch in the front of the house. Sorry I tried to add new photos but I keep getting an error message.

I've put up a big blowaway or flyaway was it called?

I also have some plastic troughs and pots to go on a paved area. Have used all those planters up now & am trying to amass a collection of used ones.

Hi Squingy when I first joined the vine I grew only in pots, containers, boxes well anything really that would hold soil/compost then after a couple of years we filled in a pond, dug out and freecycled shrubs all to make me some veg beds.
As for my avatar my husband suggested I put a pot on my head
