All I did was to cut right back on the watering - think I only watered it 4/5 times. I trimmed all the green growth off, back to a secondary "branch" to tidy it up and that was it.

There's an over wintering thread on here somewhere...

Welcome to the forum Lishys Dad.

I remember being really excited when I picked my first ever Jalapeno off the plant. It kind of got me started onto gardening

Thanks for the welcome guys and thanks for the info, I've decided to bring the scotch bonnet inside at night now as I really want to have a successful crop, I'm glad it's all going in the right direction

    Hi from sunny Kent

    Hi all,
I am in my first season of growing some chilli plants and after some success I have six apache plants that are bearing fruits, a jalapeņo that has also has a few fruits on it and finally a small scotch bonnet plant. My question is how can I tell if the scotch bonnet fruits are beginning to ripen. They are starting to turn a little dark around the stem but I'm not sure if they are ok.... Any hep would be appreciated. I have taken a pic and will post as soon as I can work it out.
