Hi. We are new to all this. Have just completed erecting our polycarb greenhouse 6 x 6. Any advise what we can simply try to start growing now rather than wait till next year. Any advice welcome to help start us off. Thanks.

You can get hold of reduced chillies and peppers at this time of year from garden centres B&Q etc, some of them very cheap. Lettuce will grow really well under cover over the next few months, as do radishes (just watch it doesn't get too hot if summer reappears!). In my greenhouse gardening book it also mentions dwarf french beans and even new potatoes under cover, though I haven't tried these myself.Originally posted by Polycarbclare View PostHi. Are you planning on planting/sowing in pots or direct into the ground??
I have 2 polycarb greenhouses but have used them mainly for plants in flower buckets, troughs, potato sacks etcI dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
...utterly nutterly

Hello veggiechicken and Fellow welshy! Would I need to heat the greenhouse to enable me to do this maybe with a parrafin heater. And is bubble wrap a good option to line the polycarb !? XOriginally posted by veggiechicken View PostHi Polycarbclare and Croeso from another South Walian
I grow mixed salad leaves in the GH through the winter - other things too but they're easy!!
