  • Ahoi Shipmates!

Yarrr me heartys! As my OH is a florist who grows most of her flowers from home, i have been given a small patch to call my own, a blank canvas. I've ordered quite a few veg/fruit/flower seeds, so it'll be interesting to see where this goes. My grandad(when he was alive) was a world record breaker for his onions and possibly leeks too, so lets hope i have his green fingers. My bosses dad, who was also a good friend of my grandad was also a record breaker in onions and again possibly leeks too. He is also a member/judge of my area's NVS, so hopefully i can get some tips from him.

Loving the forum so far, getting some great tips.

Avast ye Orwell and welcome to the Good Ship Grapevine. What part of the world wide ocean do you hail from, because if you could put it in your profile it would help us understand more about your local weather conditions - don't want ye to founder in a great storm.

Hi Orwell - welcome to the vine - hope you enjoy it as much as I have since I joined - why don't you pop in to the Gardners Rest for a drink and an ogle at the Barmaids - truly a sight and I mean a sight to behold :-)
