Hi Nicos did not want to go off topic on the runner bean thread hope this finds you.

When I'm logged in the pictures there when I not logged in it's not there just the words.

I started this morning on my Macbook pro when i pressed the post button it said I have not got permission to use the photo.

Then changed over to my Samsung s22 it gave me the option to choose the size of the photo so pressed the medium button, I'm not sure what happen after that with my fat fingers using the phone screen, much prefer using the laptop.

Then went back to my laptop and the post and pictures there(logged in),god knows what I did.

Not used any photo editing software just what the Mac or phone does with the pictures.

Try to make it simple for me Nicos dont make it to complicated for me ha ha.

Hi Nicos just on that at the moment when I resize the photo it give me a link to put on my post I do that then press save then I get a message across the screen saying. "error you are not authorised to create or remove attachments".

Then before I got

'upload failed. you are not allowed to upload files with the extension'

across the screen so I resized it and get the message above.

Is it because I been a member since 2019ish but never posted before so you need to post so many time before you can put photos up.

It could be that you’ve only made 5 posts.
Try making a few more ( say 20?) and see what happens then.

Hi DARRANP, Snoop Puss here. Nicos has pointed me to your posts. I'm not guaranteeing I can come up with an answer, but maybe between us we can get to the bottom of this. If necessary, I'll seek help from the IT side of the forum's admin.

It's true that it used to be the case that you needed to have posted a certain number of times before you could post a photo. But I'm not sure that's still the case.

So perhaps we could start back at the beginning using your preferred device, your MacBook Pro, and forgetting the Samsung for now. The messages that have been coming up are so varied that perhaps we should just ignore those for the moment too.

Some file types aren't accepted and there is a limit to the file size too. Can you tell me the file type and size of the photo you're trying to upload so I can eliminate those as the source of the problem?

Hi Snoop puss hope your well.

Right forget the Samsung I start from the beginning.

Yesterday morning went across to the glasshouse with my apple iPad to take the photo then airdrop it to my MacBook then log in to growfruitandveg start doing a reply then time to put a picture in, press button just below marked UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS then it bring a new screen with CHOOSE FILES TO UPLOAD there's invoices/statement's and pictures that I've airdrop all relating to myself when I sell stuff on ebay or print anything out.

So the last airdrop picture is the one of the beans that I want to put on here and underneath the picture it says:

3,024 x 4,032

The 0634 number guess is the counter that increases each time a new photo is added.

Also 3024 x 4032 numbers is on all the other pictures.

So I tap the picture the upload button goes blue I press that the screen disappears so I'm back to my reply but next to the Upload from URL button there is some digital bars moving across guess meaning its downloading then this pops up:

Upload failed. You are not allowed to upload files with the extension HEIC.

I'm doing this as I writing this.

Right, so that's the problem. The forum doesn't support HEIC files. I thought it might be that as we've had problems with another Apple specific image format in the past.

You need to convert your HEIC files to something like a jpg/jpeg, which the forum does support.

There's lots of info online about how to do this and it looks very easy to do. I don't use Mac and I don't know what your operating system is, so I won't give you instructions. But if you look online, you'll find plenty of advice.
