Seed bags / stamp pkts?

Help, I've run out of 'stamp pkts' to save seeds (or divide up pkts) into. Don't know where they came from as we've had them forever it seems and neither of us collects stamps!

We're not really near any big towns, so tend to buy via the Net. Can anyone recommend something to save seeds into (not big paper bags though, I wouldn't have room!).

I use brown paper wages envelopes. I got them from my local Thing me Bobs shop. They were not expensive. Try have a look round your nearest pound shop if you have one locally.

I try to make most swap packs with waste printer paper (i.e. printed on one side), some Pritt and/or sticky tape, and instructions from here

When feeling idle I have used self-seal transparent poly envelopes or tiny brown envelopes, both available from the family-run stationers in the town, and not too expensive. Alana Ecology sell a wide range of food grade bags on the Web, I can recommend them.

Actually SS you're right I should re-use A4 printed paper more (other than shopping list note pads). I bought some french tomate seeds off ebay and they came in cute little 'origami' folded paper envelopes.

However I bet laziness will get the better of me and I buy some bags! I'll check out our 'pound-shop' for some k_b.

Superdupersprout, you are a complete darling and full of such helpful ideas. I can send out my shallot seed in style now, rather than the heath robinson way I have in the past.

I bought boxes of 1000 of the little plastic ones (we need them for crystals and essential oil impregnated cosmetic pads from a local packaging specialist, the smaller ones cost �3.09 for the box.!!!

Ah earthbabe, I'm not really fond of plastic I'd worry that I'd not dried them properly and the seeds would 'sweat' and go mouldy.

I'm going to practice my origami skills! I'm training to be a black belt!!!

I would but I have so much else on that there would be even more hanging around in the "lobby" (literally) than there already is. As I type I am also printing out Mr E's presentation handout for tomorrow night and will soon have to start folding, inserting treasury tags through holes and gathering stuff into wallets.

Origami will have to wait for now.

And I can't unfortunately put essential oil impregnated cosmetic pads for clients in a paper bag of any description. Bit messy, would be nice for the crystals though......

Thank you for the kind comments, I was over the moon when someone passed me that link. Piglet, you won't thank me for all that fiddly cutting out I just wish that the designer had made all the envelopes fit on the page so you only had to cut once between the envelopes.
