It arrived this morning, guess what I will be doing tonight if I can tear myself away from the internet.

A great deal considering it was free delivery plus I have 4 worth of Clubcard points in deals which makes the book virtually free.

        Def worth buying.

I got my copy from greenmetropolis.com and it's brilliant. The copy I got was listed as "good condition" but it looks brand new.

The general info, when considering how to combat pests and diseases, is usually to nuke it. Not at all organic, BUT I wouldn't be without it simply because it actually has pictures of the pests to aid correct identification which surprisingly few books do. So, identify your pest, then look in something a little more gentle for advice on how to deal with it.

Yes, he is a little trigger happy with the powders and sprays But, as you say, there are some good ID images.

I like the layout too. You get spacings, seed sizes, viability times for seed, germination and harvest times, sowing and planting times, for everything.

                    Very helpful for beginners

In the seed facts section they give you an expected yeild for a 10ft row that I found very helpful when planning my plot. It gave me a rough guide to how many plants/seeds I would need to get a decent crop. This is my first time planting a veg plot, so I needed all the basics -- it has almost everything you need to know. I vote to buy it!

I was given it and found it a scary read!! All those diseases and things that can eat my beloved veggies. Aargh.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
