  • Plant labels - aluminium?

Well after sowing lots of seeds yesterday and then having to make our own labels, I didn't realise we'd run out!

Looking to buy some, but don't really want use plastic, but we tried the wooden ones and they just rot and the name quickly becomes illegible. Has anyone tried the aluminium labels?

I’ve not, but we have quite a lot of slate we can break and write on with white indelible marker pen.
Might be a bit sharp thohpgh?
Does indelible black marker pen work on the aluminium ones I wonder?

I’ve used a Sharpie pen to write on labels I’ve made from a broken aluminium blind.

the Kids bought me some of those SBP. a soft pencil (2b or the likes) works OK and you can easily wipe it clean and re-use.

Got some on order from Amazon arriving mid week, will hunt out the pencils and put away the sharpie.
