Pudding basins.

Every year I make quite a lot of puddings for the festive season. Mostly smallish ones for two or three people. Some of them I post and some I give away in person.
I've just gone into my cupboards to see what I've got in the way of basins. I've got the large one I use for myself but it appears that I only got two of last years smaller bowls returned. I am looking for some reasonable priced (as I probably won't get them back again) bowls with lids, one pint, � pint and � pint. The ones I will be posting must be lightweight and unbreakable and unsquashable. The ones I used last year were plastic that could be steamed but it's obviously not very eco-friendly. Any good ideas?

What about muslin/pudding cloth?

That's what I do. I make individual ones in small pudding basins, once cooked remove the basin and wrap in calico for Xmas gifts.

How do you recommend the recipient reheats them then? Just steams in the muslin/calico?

How well do they keep in cloth?

I like the cloth idea - I’ve just bought some muslin for another purpose but will give it a go, maybe with a decorative wax wrap for storage?

Steaming in the calico would be fine but I usually stick them back in a basin and cover with a pleated greasproof top and then steamed/ my brother does his in the microwave most people have a basin or a jug that they can pop them in to cook even if it isn't the correct match.
I did have some photos but I can't find them, tied with brown string and a little sprig of holly and a handwritten label they look lovely.
