Rick Stein was going on about Patience Grey, who one year managed to outsell Elizabeth David in the cookery book dept.
So I bought 'Plat de Jour' and 'Honey from a Weed' from Amazon and they are just the mutts nuts, especially 'Honey' which is all about how to make healthy and nutritious meals from everyday stuff, just about anything in the garden or hedgerows and really cheap - still.
Well worth the purchase price. I also bought the new Rick Stein - some great recipes but when he's banging on about food having to be honest, from the garden and hedgerows, why do his recipes cost so much and why does he charge so much at his places in Padstow - he's a bloody hypocrite!
