Darned Auto-correct will be the dearth of me...

I always turn it off but what I do leave on is the option to underline words that it believes are incorrectly spelt.
That seems a fair middle ground.
In Software and Physics there are just so many terms and words that are specific to the fields that auto-correct is more of a problem then a solution. The "Are you sure that word is what you want?" is a lot better. I cannot insert my initials next to anything without an autocorrect changing them.Comment

I know of someone who sent a text saying they weren't able to get to choir practice because "I'm in bed with a massive migrant."
Of course, that shouldve been migraine!

I love collecting auto-correct fails. They are hilarious... especially the ones where they try two or three times to correct it and fail. One of the few things that make me laugh hysterically for a few minutes.Comment

I do use auto correct and when I don’t notice that a message has gone out a ‘bit’ odd I just say that -
It’s the new tech speak - you are so behind the times
I have my own language.

I always consider auto correct as female, it puts words in that wasn't said
. I am now switching off and standing,well back
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
