Got a pile of windfall apples to freeze today. The rain certainly knocked off quite a few!
It's a good year for apples for me. Can hardly believe we had not one last year:eek

I must find time to pick more blackberries. Ours are pretty small this year, but very highly flavoured!
Don't ya just love the flavour of blackberry and apple pie/crumble?...mmm

Morning all. Rary - I just pick my brambles on a dry day then freeze on trays to stop them sticking together then transfer to be bag/tub.

Bit snotty this morning, but off to work at a new customer - 1 acre garden with loads of beds, veg plot, ofruit trees etc, all very overgrown. Should be fun!

Children settling back into school, eldests scrapes healing nicely, and youngest v pleased with new socks that have pictures of monsters on!

Morning, lovely and sunny this morning 8 degrees so cool. Off to Doc for injection but just had a thought. After ‘mix up’ on Monday (see rant thread) I now have the steroid but it just hit me...will they have the syringe?!!! Wish me luck!

Blackberries are almost finished here with a bumper crop this year.

Mornings,
Grey and cool here as well, so got a pan of green tomato chutney on the stove, didn't think there was much chance of the allotment ones ripening, so stripped the bushes yesterday. Had a quick nip to the co op for a few brambleys to go in there, but had everything else in the cupboard.

Morning, boy was it cold last night, had to look out a blanket!! It’s lovely and sunny this morning though.
Injection wasn’t painful at all yesterday but as the day wore on it did get much more painful. A lot better this morning. Silver lining though is...no heavy housework for a couple of days. Yay!!! So I’m sitting on the couch watching TV.

Cool here this morning as well!
Sun has got his hat on, so a plot visit later, right now got 2 stir fry pans full of tomatoes lifting their skins. Will do the same with the rest of them - them leave them to cool til later. Mason jars in the dish-washer - all systems go this morning

Had to put on one of my autumn jumpers already this morning. I'd rather it wasn't an early autumn, but I do hope it is an extremely cold winter. Puts paid to lots of unwanted bugs. There are too many baby scorpions about the place for my liking.

On a more positive note, I'm looking forward to toast and butter in, ooh, about one minute.

There are too many baby scorpions about the place for my liking.

Nasty person wishing ill on all those babies - could you look them in their multiple sets of eyes and say that as they sweetly hold their stinger in the air and wave at you with their pincers. And the lovely way they glow under UV light.

And what do scorpions eat - bugs.

Mind you I don't live in Kent so there's little chance of my plot being over run with them
