      Yep

      (B) Know what to do with them..?
      Yep - you can eat them, I cut 'em roughly in half and slap butter on 'em, other prefer cream and/or honey. You need something fairly sticky otherwise the crumbs get everywhere coz they are fairly hard and very dry.

      Or you can throw them - but not this year, coz the festival's been cancelled;

      (D) Feel Insulted.?
      I wouldn't complain.

          I think it's a great present. My daughter sometimes makes me a few nibbles as a gift, they're lovely and I really value them.

            None of the above. I have heard of them but that is about it. However I like foody gifts and things that are a bit different, especially regional foods.

            e) I would be pleased and intrigued.

                I agree with NG plus you get a useful looking tin once you've eaten them all.

                    I know about them but never eaten one.
                    I'd be really chuffed to try something different.
                    Love the tin!

                    Te h.....I just spotted this on Wiki..

                    "A Dorset knob throwing competition is held in the Dorset village of Cattistock every year on the first Sunday in May.[4] The record throw of 29.4 metres (96 ft) was set in 2012.[5] The festival also includes such events as a knob and spoon race, knob darts, knob painting and guess the weight of the knob.[2]"

                    Seeing the event is cancelled this year, you've plenty of time to practice for the next one

                    So...Yup-I'd be very happy with that gift.
