Lumpy - if I could like your post more than once I would
Also, when mucking about with compost bins today I saw a little mouse. I was happy firstly because it wasn't a rat . Also, it had a little baby desperately holding on while it ran away. I know I should be annoyed but they were so small and cute I couldn't be
A pleasant 15 minutes watching a magpie tease next doors cat. Bouncing along the fence to make a noisy approach only to flit away at the last minute. Down on the ground let the cat pounce and again flit away at the last second.
As far as I could see for no other reason than to have fun knowing the cat had no chance.

I mentioned to someone at work that I was wanting to buy a garden chair, but that I wanted an "old lady" one with an unstylish padded seat (no offence to old ladies - I think they have excellent taste in garden chairs!) rather than a modern one with thin taut fabric.
She then happened to spot some for sale, took a photo to show me, and offered to pick one up since I don't drive.
Have just heard from her and she's bought the last one in stock and will drop it off to me in the next couple of days
People can be so extraordinarily kind. It's made me a bit teary.

There have been thirty or forty scout bees flying round the empty hive in the back garden that's sitting on top of all the other spare parts all day. Here's hoping their owner isn't alert enough to stop them swarming, 'cos then I'll get me a colony of free bees!
Strawberries in polytunnel starting to ripen!!!
Yippee !
Eleven weeks ago I was snowed in and had an igloo in my back garden.
I am loving the movement of the seasons.

(That wall is very old and full of ants. They've obviously carried lots of seeds into cracks and there are lots of little plants growing out of it. I happen to like them, which makes them officially NOT weeds! The lawn needs some work though...)
