  • Proof reading at at fault??

Just received next month's GYO magazine with a rather unfortunate "error" on the covering letter

..........But, is it an error - or is this what they really think of our "advice"?

PS There are at least 5 "errors" on that letter and the one I've made is deliberate

Crumbs, that is quite shocking! Unless it's a snide sideswipe at our spelling and use of apostrophes...

I know I type before I think, but I am rather upset that they think I keep sharding with you lot.

Some articles today are too reliant on auto correct expecting it to be right everytime.

Doh! I got the wrong phallic symbol in mind again.

I wonder how much they pay a copy editor these days?

"They" can't spell their own postal address so not much point asking where the expert forum is.
There were "experts" on here a long, long time ago but they couldn't answer the questions as well as the amateurs.

I remember the days when proof reading in typist training was compulsory. I still read my work to check and then double check by reading it backwards - it's amazing what you can miss. Spell check? Never
