      These are fabulous photos Jay-ell. I haven't got any of them right so far, but the one above looks like the shrivelled air root of a phalaenopsis orchid to me.

          Thanks, I'm teaching myself macro photography, I've only been doing it since, erm when did I start this thread again.

          It IS a root, but it's the root from a dafodil bulb.

          This one should be easy (if you read back a bit)
