I am not chatting - honest.

Stronger painkillers would be nice though. I am maxing out on paracetemol but my throat and ears are so inflamed it is painful to swallow and has been since Thursday. I am also waiting to get a pain in my kidneys from the amount of paracetemol (like I have in the past) I am not a wuss when it comes to pain but this is awful. Yesterday the mucus broke down and I had puss coming out of one eye, the puss has now gone and I look like I could audition for a relative of Quasimodo. When I went to blow my nose it felt like my eye would pop out. It looks like my other eye will be shortly oozing up. Yes I am grumpy, poorly and not amused. Look into my eye



Sorry for anyone eating. Hopefully I will be back in a few days happy and healthy. Have fun all.

viruses - especially ones that involve lots of pain, gunge and fat eyes.

Edit: oh and pointless visits to doctors, guess I will be going back for them to deal with it like they could have done when I first went.

Nasty, NG. That happens to me when I get a sinus infection. Nothing quite like a green oozing eye... :-/ Hope it clears up soon. Ask a pharmacist about stronger painkillers... my personal fave combination is Syndol (paracetemol, caffeine and codeine) and Feminax Ultra (the only source of OTC Naproxen). This is NOT medical advice, I hasten to add.

Imagine the scene:
I'm sat minding my own business, one rod out & the other laid behind me on the bank, mother jogging round the path about 20 ft behind me with her kid riding a bike, 3 circuits later I heard a crash behind me......turned around to find the silly little expletive decided to come off the path, down the embankment & fall of his bike.............smashing my �60 rod in half..............Mother - "Oh, I'm sorry about that"............

A minor rant in comparison with NG's and BM's.

Frost

Nipped all the leaves on my Dunluce potatoes and finished off the fruit-bearing tips of the fig tree. Knew about that before I went back to Britain.

Now back and have inspected other damage: no fruit on the plum or pear trees, all the leaves gone on the walnut tree (though it is showing signs of putting out new ones, but there won't be any nuts), and the persimmon tree looks well and truly dead.
