Received my annual renewal notice over the weekend as usual with a ridiculously high quote and a notice of automatic renewal.
As usual I rang gave my details and explained to the lady that what I was about to say was not directed at her personally.
I told her that they must never automatically renew my policy and further more I would not be paying the figure �645-71p quoted. Last year after the same type of phone call it came in at �479-09p.
After confirming nothing had changed since last year she said she would check todays rates to see what she could offer. "Oh good" said I "You always check 'todays rates' and they always seem to less expensive than 'yesterdays rates'.
Sure enough she came back with a much improved quote �418-57p.
Always ring and check my friends it is worth lots of money.
