Feedback section

I was wandering round my garden yesterday and thinking how well some flowers had grown and how some were just very disappointing, same with my veg. Would it be a good idea for us to have a section on what we had grown and how well it had done? Probably in a table form and organised into some sort of sections so it would be easy to read. We could put what rate the seed germinated (some stuff I grew less than half germinated!), any problems that occured and final result. I grew some Mexican Hat flowers this year and they really are a poor show, could just be the weather though. I know some grow stuff from seed companies most of us have never heard of so it also might help us to 'branch out' so to speak, what do other grapes think?

Good idea Eden, but very complicated to set up. I did my own spreadsheet for germination rates, but to do it over the whole Vine would be an enormous project.

How about have the feedback section just as one of the headers for the threads, like chitchat, feeling fruity etc. Then when people leave the feedback if they use the seed name and what company it was bought from as title then it would be really quick to scroll down and see what varieties you can check out. Would it be possible to add another catagory I wonder?

Brilliant idea Eden. I think all the stuff you are asking for is already on the Vine. If it was all tabulated somewhere that would be wonderful. Who would do all that work ? Are you volunteering ? Hope so.

Couldnt a lot of that info be incorporated onto the 'gold standard' thingy you're setting up? Or would that make it too unweildly and complicated? (Think I've just answered my own suggestion -ignore me! )

Ooo yes, I'd be happy to tabulate it, the only information needed it seed name, company and if it is recommened, perhaps a star rating of 1-5, and maybe any extra hints or tips to get them off to a flying start. I firstly recommend, with all this rain we are having, is growing rice on your plots!
