I can remember all of those early ones mentioned above.

Surprised no-one has yet mentioned the foreign language dubbed programmes such as

                        Belle and Sebastian https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_...nch_TV_series)

                        The Flashing Blade https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Flashing_Blade

The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ad...oe_(TV_series)

                        etc.

                        Don't forget the Whirlybirds either!

Being Scottish- there was always a bit of annoyance during the Summer holidays.

With our holidays being a month earlier, there was no morning children's TV programmes on until the end of July.

There was nothing more frustrating than going back to school in August and seeing that Why Don't You, etc al where still on the box.

I loved Tin Tin and his buddy Snowy the dog. And who can forget the comical Thompson Twins and good old Captain Haddock ....

I can remember it'd always end on a cliff-hanger - and all over in 5 minutes..!!!

Did anyone see the programe last night about the development of childrens TV ? Was interesting to note that the BBC audience plummeted when ITV started running Robin Hood, The Lone Ranger & American cartoons
