Evening all, had an email from our local theatre for forthcoming events
Spotted one for a looky/sound likey Bon Jovi band
Quite fancied that, so went on to book two tickets. Got them in my basket and thought I'd check the calender before I paid.
Turns out it's tonight lol. Fast forward dinner - curry I had prepared earlier.
Hubby and I will be out singing and dancing tonight

I am not making this up honest - within the last hour or so my next door neighbours have just had a barbecue on their balcony - these lodges all have barbecues on their grounds. The balcony floors are of course metal but they are covered in artificial grass - in any case they have placed the barbecue on top of a plastic table and I have noticed that the table on our balcony bears scars of perhaps a similar experience. Is this common practice in England? I have never observed it before although I have stayed in a wooden lodge in Norfolk in the past. It makes my English friend on the allotment's practice of having his barbecue in his metal barrow - we called it a 'barrowcue' seem sensible in comparison. :-)

Had a lovely meal out at lunchtime - went for a rather large all day breakfast which is something I don't have very often. I won't need to eat for quite some time after all that.

Been overcast but warm today. Really hoping for some rain now. Come on - fill my butts up again please ha ha

Evening all. Well sports day was cancelled. It started to drizzle about 7ish then it chucked it down for most of the morning. Kids were disappointed but I can't see it happening before the end of term.
Then to top it off today I have managed to make the George Foreman grill go bang. OH has changed the fuse but it tripped the fuse box again.

Evening all, well it turned out a beautiful afternoon...sunny and warm but it's threatening rain now. That's the first nice day in a while! Potted up some plants which were in the blowaway so that's almost everything, except the chillies, in their final pots.

Going to have an early night tonight as I haven't really been sleeping well recently. Off to get a shower so see you all later.

First really good day here. Spent most of it in the garden tidying behind OH shed.
Packed away all the small pots which I am finished using for this year. Bought a tool storage box last year and everything thats not being used is now in there.
Bought 3 bales of Hortons multipurpose compost this morning. It was selling at half price, 120 litres for €4.99, so its now stored neatly behind the shed for next year.
Dug up my garlic, its a little on the small size but perfect otherwise.
Dug a few more potatoes for dinner.
Had to damp down the tomtoes in the greenhouse this afternoon , also a first.
Picked two dishes of strawberries.
All in all, a very enjoyable day.

good evening Folks, it has been quite nice here today, some cloud but warm sunshine in between, got two lots of washing dried, one that I hung out and one I was told to leave alone not been able to do any gardening, as we had grandchildren to watch, but before that had to go pick up my granddaughter as she had to take her car back in, she asked for a price for repairing her damaged door, the garage doesn't do that type of work but estimate it could cost up to �1,000 one week on the road and faced with that, it makes me so angry that people are so dishonest and just drive away when they hit another car, after that had to take my daughter to hospital for a minor op. waiting around for over 2hrs. then had to take my wife shopping I dont know why she cant walk to the shops its only 7 miles now getting ready to go to Glasgow to pick up granddaughter from a concert, somebody called bouncy or something like that. Well I wish you all a good night, for those at work tomorrow it`s Friiiday. Goodnight

Weather was dry for once, no gardening done as working.

My big brother, SIL and youngest nephew and his lovely girlfriend (on a visit from Glasgow - visiting his Dad) came for a catch up.

Two cups of tea each later, and barely a crumb left of the banana cake..! Proof of the pudding,they say, is in the eating!!!!
