Coffee please , milk n sugar
Well it's been raining on and off all night , the pond is topped up so the tadpoles will be happy, some water in my waterbutts and everything's had a good watering. Need to water in GH yet, will do that after walk .
Looks like a weather warning in place for heavy rain but on the map we are just out of it, maybe on you though bee , no watering to do
If it stays dry il go get some compost ....or go parents.

Morning we've had 15.5c in the GH overnight for the third time in a row. finally we're getting good temps even though its rained all day. can't have it all I supposed.

Morning all - gone all dark over Bill's Mother's. I was going to go to the plot and strim - might wait until later when the grass (ie weeds) have had a chance to dry out a bit. I am now in the business of giving away aubergine plants. Have found homes for a couple, might just give them away randomly. I don't really want to compost them after all the loving care I bestowed on them ... seems a waste .

So, today - domestic stuff. Ironing. FiL is coming for his supper, Roast beef and trimmings followed by trifle. Whatever else I feel inclined to do. Could really do with defrosting the chest freezer in the garage. IF I could get the ice to the Arctic it would really help to repair the Polar ice cap. Enjoy your Sunday.

Started off cloudy but now turning bright. Got the watering done with Mr Snoop's help, so super-speedy. He says he's going to weed the sweet potatoes for me. They're getting crowded out by thistles... Out of 24 slips, 22 have survived. Just. I really should keep the faith with the parsnips too. Out of 58 stations sown, only five have germinated. So far. She says optimistically.

Slept really badly. Probably due to the assorted huge mozzie bites on one side of my neck that I discovered when I woke up. Time to get the mozzie net up.

Got a poorly boy today, so re-planning the day around that. Would like to weed, but...

Morning all

Busy day yesterday between the thunder storms...
Got a bit done and gave away the last of my spare tomato plants, a couple of which had baby tomatoes on them..
Also the wood on one of my beds had rotted at the front,so had to decide what to do with that..Took the plunge and decided to merge 2 beds into one..So one stone path to be removed and replaced with stepping stones. Roughly speaking, that is the plan

Out for a few creamy pints of Guinness last night,so slow start required though...

Dog walk done, grass soaked ..I never thought, forgot with all dry weather we've had. Wet feet Doh!
OH going to work first thing, then have afternoon off so il water and tidy up. Then BQ to collect a seat for mum, a door stop some cable tidy stuff and some bits for OH, mum has needed a seat up nr greenhouse for her or dad, it's one of those plastic ones that has a store underneath, somewhere she can put her empty pots and store some compost nearer greenhouse. She could sit and do some planting seeds there too was my thinking. So be doing that and il grab compost for me. My potatoes have gone mad in this humid weather, they desperately need earthing up.
If you could keep it dry bee il get the seat fixed together
Hope little fella improves fast.

A bit of a late start for me today - shockingly didn't get out of bed until 8.30!!!!!!! (Although had been up hours on end in the night, ho hum ...)

Just about managed to get back from Toby dog walkies before the heavens opened ~ it's still hammering it down now. Plus side: strategically placed buckets filling up nicely...

Still a pleasant 19c in GH, everyone appears to be well..!

Morning all!

It's wet and a bit muggy here so I'm stuck indoors for now. They've promised us a couple of dry hours shortly before the rain comes back, so hopefully I will be able to get down the allotment, check the strawberries and place a few more slug pellets. Fingers crossed!
