Evening
Had day out n about with mum, she bought more roses..with encouragement and now would like a rose area nr where she and dad sit . That'l be me n OH then hehe. Oh well. I like to see them smile.
I got me and them a cup n saucer planter..I think dad thought I was going to fill it with tea
Took dog for walk tonight who then rolled in fox pooooostinker ! Even after 2 showers and dog wipes .

Goodness knows why I'm awake so early!
Having said that, I did go to sleep early for change...I'm going to regret that later aren't I? Ah well.

CG...I believe you're supposed to rub lots of tomato ketchup over a fox poo area to take away the smell...yup really!
Not quite sure how it works though...maybe someone on here knows?

I've just realised that tomorrow is a Bank Holiday ( Bastille Day) so I need to nip to the shops to get in a bit of food basics.Typical...I usually have a bit of a stock in!
At least there are going to be loads of firework displays later on tomorrow.
Daft thing is that they have to have them around midnight cos it's too light earlier on.
Good job Guy Fawkes and friends did their contribution to society in November eh?...otherwise it'd be a very late night for everyone!

Not quite sure what today has in store...hopefully I'll get to follow something with my rose clippings

It's dry ...... up to press, but so it was yesterday....... Anyhoo, can't alter the weather!!!

It's a dull start here and feels quite cool. I'm about to book Friday/Monday leave - the main reason was that I'm tired, but I also need to catch up with some housework (floor and window cleaning to name but two chores), the rest will have to come in the form of no early rising. You can bet the weather will be absolutely glorious!

Interesting tip about tomato sauce, Nicos. I'd better buy in a few gallons!

Anyway, cloudy again here. But I've had a look through the long-term weather forecast. We're due a "stray thunderstorm" or two but no rain forecast till right through to mid to late September. That means we'll have had well under half our normal annual rainfall.

Meanwhile, grey skies today are nice and easy on the eyes.

Like Small Pumpkin, Deano, I'll be thinking about you today.

Been raining most of the night as usual! Dog was restless and a bit 'growly' during the night, think thunder rumbling was upsetting him.

So no allotment today, too wet! So the weeds will be happy!

Re tom Sauce, I've heard that before but never tried it, I'd needs loads ..like snoop

It's dry at the moment , forecast says showers. Intend to sow seeds, feed things and plant up more beets/sp onions and salads. Maybe even plant out some cosmos, they seem happier once planted for some reason.

Morning we've got fine weather not very warm it was only 9.5c over night in the GH so not good for July Wonder if tom sauce would have worked on our Fox terrier or would that have been cruel it was his main ambition during a walk to find some to roll in.

Morning all. Very cold and cloudy here at the moment. Just spent half an hour sorting some paperwork out for work.
Pulled my onions up yesterday and my garlic. It made me laugh as the garlic I pulled up is actually smaller than the cloves I planted Well its the first time I have planted garlic and at least they did something, more than my runner beans have done.
