Can I ask a silly question please. Often when I'm reading a post on a particular thread, I find I have a related question to ask. Should I open a new thread or can I ask it on the same thread. For example I have just read the posts about rhubarb and I have a question I would like to ask about rhubarb. Should I start a new thread or can I ask it on the same one. Thanks. Sorry if this is a silly question.

It's up to you Bal, you can either ask on the thread or start a new thread. I don't think it matter that much.sigpicGorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,

I would just ask away, Bal. If it's deemed inappropriate/should have its own thread then one of the fab mods on here would say so
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Another reason this site is so great! No one is made to feel like they've done something wrong or intruded where they're not wanted.Originally posted by KittyColdNose View PostI would just ask away, Bal. I think the main reason for starting a new thread is that when you use our most excellent search facility (
) it picks up the subject matter more easily ( as would you if you are hunting back through historical threads)
For example- if you say 'ooooops' for the title then nothing is recognised...if you say 'are my seedlings frosted / overwatered' then it's much easier to find. In effect it probably is better to start a new thread unless it is exactly the same thing or very closely related, it's better not to piggyback on someone else's thread.Last edited by Nicos; 31-03-2016, 06:58 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and...
