Isn't it a bit late to be going on a bike? Hope you got some good lights! Stay safe...

Ah Nicos age doesn`t come itself,it usualy arrives with a barrow load of problems and painOriginally posted by Nicos View PostAm really stiff today. Can't believe how quickly you can get unfit..
Today is swimming ,so I'm relieved it's set to rain all day
, as I think you are finding out, but if you realy push yourself you can overcome.
Or you could accept it gracefully
Not that I am saying you are getting old.......but your body might
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

No apology needed!
I dont cycle much at all these days.. hence the weight issues, lol.. and I dont let my daughter (9 yrs old) ride on her own, it just isn't safe on the roads round here.
I grew up in the countryside, where you went on a big bike ride and didnt see a car!<*}}}>< Jonathan ><{{{*>

My OH would like to move somewhere where he can cycle with nothing on the road. France has been the best place so far. He cycles on lanes these days but people drive so fast
just watched the news, someone in Wiltshire is being prosecuted for driving directly at cyclists! Speeds of nearly 50miles per hour were recorded on a cyclists head cam. Madness. Enjoy your ride.

Of course you do - that's your jobOriginally posted by Scarlet View PostSorry, my OH and two boys cycle. I worry every time they go out.
. I don't suppose that it's any good telling you that your OH is about as safe and experience cyclist as you could get; and the benefit that the boys get from cycling far outweighs the downsides? Nope, thought not, but as I say, it;s your job
.
Yep - a minority of both motorists (that story of a driver aiming at cyclists) and cyclists being kn0bheads exist. As of most things in life, you do a mental 'risk assessment', account for it, and live as you do.Originally posted by Florence Fennel View PostOn the drive to and from work we have so many bike riders misbehaving it's a nightmare
Yep - good for you.Originally posted by cptncrackoff View PostThat was rubbish! didnt get into it, 1.9 miles, still it all helps!
Have you looked at Fat Guy Across America - the story of a big ol' boy winning his wife back by getting his fat behind onto a saddle and cycling across the states.

.... and I was wildly inconsistent - as ever - but enjoyed the session (when it was over, obvs).Originally posted by Hazel at the Hill View PostThe idea is to run each repeat in the same time. I am rubbish at this, and the first one is always zinging fast, then I get progessively more purple in the face as I try to keep to that time for the subsequent ones.
managed not to fall asleep in my beer in the pub, but off to gwely now.
