I tackled finishing clearing out the polytunnel and getting rid of tons of mostly dead plants. The fascinating thing among all the mess and brown leaves were 3 Chinese Cabbages that had bolted and were sporting super strong and tall stems with brilliant yellow flowers on top. They looked great among all the rubbish.

Had some small holes in the PT cover so taped those over and some broken ties inside so looks like I need to get my sewing needles out and fix it. Job for another day.

Marie, Bramble and Ld . Thanks for the nice thoughts. Don't know if sharing the load worked or not really. I know that after I got things cleaned up I was mightily relieved but annoyed with myself for being so careless. Could have been an awful ot worse. We could have already put a new carpet down on the stair for instance. Anyways, Vc put it nicely with no point in crying over spilled paint and there's no permanent damage, just an awful smell of white spirit but that will clear away.

Anyways, making good progress at top of stair and managed to get most of the woodwork painted apart from the bathroom and bedroom doors. They were painted last summer and I'm hopeful I'll get away without painting them again but isn't it amazing how quickly paint oxidises and brilliant white becomes off white.

AP I have found that walking past those bits with your eyes closed helps and if you can get your wife to do that life`s a bit??? a lot easier

Good evening again Folks, been out to the greenhouse with the fire on and hopefully sterilized some soil, I will mix some with sand and put the remainder into a pot and put this into the propagator and see if anything grows, so will need patience, (no use asking OH for some, as everything should be done yesterday, according to her) I spent some time tidying up the greenhouse, I wonder who makes all the mess? again no use asking OH as it would finish up a lecture covering GH, garden, garage then into the house and it would depend whats on TV how long the lecture would last, still, couldnt do without her. Well I wish you all a good night, and Deano, each day takes you closer to the week end, I hope things go better for you, and AP, tomorrow, and think of all the experience you are getting AP, life is a learning curve. I can REALLY sympathise with this at the moment, to the point where you literally don't want to go in, in the morning, cant get any sleep, fail to concentrate on anything and start to worry about my mental well-being..

Approaching boiling point, or possibly melting point.. whichever is worse..

Busy last few days...wedding anniversary yesterday so out for dinner last night which was OK, but won't be going back type

Off for the day trip to Cheddar Gorge. Surprise visit to one sister for her birthday.
So that's the reason I am up and dressed so early.

Skies are clearing nicely this morning, have so much to get on with but the days seem to be disappearing.

My friend has been over showing me this arctic lorry load of wood he has had delivered, its massive and amazing and will last 6/7 years and works out half the price of buying smaller loads but spending 1,700e all in one go is a lot, but worth it so have to try and figure out how i can manage to buy it.

Oh i forgot the GH should be delivered today
