I had (yet another) argument with my son He says I'm not pulling my weight. His argument is the amount of work he and his girlfriend are doing. I can't argue with that but I'm 68 with very dodgy knees that I can't kneel on. Everything I say sounds like a lame excuse. I don't know how to deal with it.

As BB has said Janie its not an easy question to answer, and if you have problems doing some work go the route VC suggested and try and get someone in to do the jobs you are unable to do, but I think you should let your son know why you want to do that, it is surprising how much becomes difficult to do as you get older, especialy if it has to be done for a certain time, I know I was putting on some some posts about the time I was taking to decorate a room, and it did take me quite a time, where in the past I would have had it done in less than a week. I do hope you dont fall out with your family, but at the same time you have to look after yourself, and remember there is no yardstick to mesure how much we slow down as we get older

Good evening Folks, started this morning with rain but it actualy dried up and was quite cold but plesant this afternoon, the ground is far too wet to do any work in the garden, (I will kid on that I am sad about that) Looking through some of the posts I see some Grapes cant sleep the full night, as I do believe I have posted before a clear conscience helps (dont play about wi ma posts) but yes warmer bed covers also helps, and I suppose We should be considering doing that shortly Well I wish you all a good night, as I dont get to sleep a quickly now, as the saying goes it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night Goodnight

It is not often i am outside before 8 in the morning and it is so cold out there, next time put on a jump or next time do not get out of bed.
