Only downside of having Shadow....

After 6 months of bliss & freedom living in my own flat. I now have to put the seat on the toilet down after having had a pee...

I never figured this into the equation of getting a dog.

Ah well, snuggles in bed while watching BBC Gardeners' World more than makes up for that I guess.

Ha Yes, all the dogs I know seem to prefer drinking out of anything rather than their own bowls

I've had cats that drink out of the loo and pee in the washbasin.
Train Shadow to use the toilet too, though teaching him to wipe his bottom may be more difficult

It is possible to train both Dogs and Cats to use the toilet.

I saw a video earlier this week of a dog lifting the seat, urinating, flushing and putting the seat down.

A place I used to work out got an order of cat training loo seats, we laughed our head off at the buyer who bought them, none of us thought they would sell. They did and in only a few days, mostly overseas, we had to collectively eat humble pie.

Our cat never managed to use the toilet, but when he had an 'accident' it was always on the toilet mat

my dogs have to accompany me to the loo, they sit and supervise me, or if I shut the door they lay down outside it
