What is or are everyone's pet hates? Mine are a) any type of 'ism' = racism, sizeism, ageism, religionism that sort of thing b)FREAKIN wabbits and pigeons

I also hate parsnips - I'm growing them for Himself and the rest of the family!

cell phones...everywhere you go you have to listen to someones telephone conversation...I was in the airport this week and every other person had a cell phone stuck to their ears....we had barely landed and the girl beside me was text messaging like the world was coming to an end...I swear to you this happened...a girl was checking out at the market...she was talking on the phone the whole time...never said one word to the checkout person, just rattled on and on...wrote her check and got her receipt and pushed her basket out still talking on the phone...I know many people rely on phones but I think it is a sad state of affairs when you can't go buy a loaf of bread without worrying that you are going to miss a phone call...

I totally agree about cell phones in the main, blasted things! But my wife and I have one we share, as like a housephone. Wonderful for stopping those %^*# cold callers who want to sell you double glazing, or swap your power supplier or whatever. GRRRRR. Actually, theres another of my pet hates.

Road signs! Directions and speed one are ok, but how many do they now need just to tell you that there is a bend in the road!!!
next time you are out and about count how many sings there are in one small area! clutter clutter clutter oh the poor old countryside!
