My hobby is Moderating a gardening forum.
Doesn't leave much time for anything else - not even gardening

Can't compete with most of you, so I won't even try.

I like to watch the river go by outside, whilst holding a nice glass of Pinot, sitting on balcony in summer, inside in winter.

          My allotment
          My balcony gardening
          Making 'preserves', with surplus produce
          Family History research
          Chatting
Travelling thousands of miles to see my family
Knitting baby clothes in the 2 weeks before we go for a visit
          Reading a bit
Researching topics for my 'ladies group'
          Some TV
Accompanying husband to pub, so he can have his ale?

And now looking after and adoring Charlie, my gorgeous puppy, so no time for anything else!

Ach - it's all fish, innit?!

They are but havng a new one takes a lot more time than an oldie. Daily puppy training, lead training etc is time consuming not including the walks. Stan has really cut into my "free time".

The main one now is my allotment and getting it just the way I want it

                      But others include...

Container gardening (mostly bee-friendly flowers) in the courtyard outside my flat

                      Reading

Writing to penpals ~ it's lovely to hear how other folks do their gardens around the world.

                      Tracing my family tree

Visiting National Trust properties & gardens

Spoiling my three cats summik rotten! And hopefully in 2016 I can bring a puppy home as I've been dog-free for way too long!

I also used to do a lot of birdwatching but I'm taking a break from it for a while. I still go out for a monthly walk with my local natural history society but no longer chase around adding to my Year & Life List.

One lapsed hobby I'd like to get back into this year is sketching & painting....perhaps in a few months time once the days are longer and warmer and Neil and I plan to spend some lazy evenings up at the plot
If I'm not on the Grapevine I can usually be found here!....https://www.thecomfreypatch.co.uk/

This thread makes me (almost) miss my pre-Pyrenees days when I did a lot of recruiting and got sick to death of CVs where hobbies were limited to shopping and socialising with friends!

                          I:
                          Garden
                          Ski (used to teach)
                          Read
                          Blog & scribble
                          Ride a motorbike
                          Ride a push bike
                          Walk/hike
Worry about the cat (late for his grub again)
Watch and try and photograph wildlife.

Would like to start painting and drawing again and play a musical instrument again.

I've always fancied my self as a super skier ...been several times and I last all of one second standing up and the last time we went (2 years ago) I decided not to ski at all. Thoroughly enjoyed the walking, scenery (camera in hand ) and the peace. OH was very worried as I spent most of the days alone, occasionally meeting him and my boys got lunch. Probably one of my most enjoyable hols.

C'mon what instrument did you play?
