Blue then Orange (now White) Side Bars

Blue bar was there, clicked on "hide" and now it's gone. Hopefully won't come back for at least a week.

For anyone using Adblock Plus

I had a faint white line at the bottom, so I also added

w*ww.growfruitandveg.co.uk###meerkat-wrap

(without the "http://") which fixed that

I'm on an iPad (not sure if that makes a difference) and just clicked on where it said hide - can't do anything complicated as don't understand at the property stuff. Can't everybody see "hide"?

I can hide it on my iPad but even though I can see it on my phone every time I click "hide" I go straight to the advert

Ah, don't really use the forum on phones as the screen is so small and don't have it with me at the moment so can't check. At least it seems easy on the iPad

On the bottom bar of each post (LH side says blog this post) the far RH side has an icon " in a box with a tiny arrow. Click that on every post that you want to quote, then click "reply with quote"

Didn't work for me, but my Adblock Plus (menu dropdown from the Icon in the menu bar) has a "Block Element" option, clicking on that and THEN clicking on the offending Element sorted it.

It appears to have added a filter for "meerkat-container" the same as yours, but excluding the "http://" at the front - i.e.

w*ww.growfruitandveg.co.uk###meerkat-container

just in case that helps anyone else using Adblock Plus.

EDIT: Just putting that one alone as a filter left a faint white line, so I also added

w*ww.growfruitandveg.co.uk###meerkat-wrap

which fixed it

Yep, the 'hide elements' thing is exactly what I did to get rid of it. The text was to identify those elements specifically in case it helped others when editing their software.

It will make things a lot easier from here on,how ever,i did open me Gob to soon,as soon as i clicked on the message notification,THAT BLUE BAR has sprung up to haunt ME now,not seen it before,it certainly does interfere with my vision

I couldn't see it - I presume because Adblock Plus had removed the guts of the section, just leaving me a blue bar overlapping the bottom of the page and obscuring everything under it
