  • Earthing Sheets

Yesterday I met a friend in town, he had recently got himself an earthing sheet...nothing to do with gardening ...Earthing Sheet € 69,00 - Connect to the Earth and Feel Better! *-* Earth Connection he was absolutely raving about it and couldn't wait to write out this link for me.

He said he'd been about to have a hip replacement but after sleeping on the earthing sheet for a few weeks he was pain free. Last night I did a bit of research and read loads of testimonials and it seems they are pretty amazing and cure loads of different ailments.

I'd really like to get one but can't afford it at the moment. Anyway I thought I'd post the link and see if anyone has one? or would like to get one? Or ever heard of them before?

I just wanted to add that of course it does have something to do with gardening as we are working outside etc but to feel the benefits we'd have to be gardening in bare feet as plastic soles are no good for connecting to the earths electrical energy and digging in bare feet wouldn't be much fun

AP - Just go and lie out in the grass for 15 minutes although might be a bit cold to do so up in Aberdeen so I'd keep the long johns on - saves upsetting the neighbours as well

I remember those earthing strips that were hung below your car, that were supposed to be good for travel sickness. Never needed them so don't know whether they worked

Earthing Sheet - 96% cotton 4% silver fibre

why not just wear a piece of silver jewellery while sleeping on cotton sheets? Cotton sheets are always nice to sleep on so you would feel better. Sorry, but I am not convinced although it is a very interesting concept. I know modern living tends to go against nature. Like insulating homes which I was taught 20+ years ago traps radiation from the earths core and has a negative effect on well being etc. etc. However being a gardener you appreciate nature and enjoy it (hopefully) and are more in tune with it which brings about a positive effect on well being.

I think it is more state of mind.

As I've no experience of using an earthing sheet I can't give an opinion. Except that most of the testimonials I read start off with the author being very sceptical and convinced the sheet would do nothing for them and then after a few nights they are raving about it and saying how it's changed their lives forever, they couldn't all be made up or exaggerating, I wouldn't think.

Not sure how or if earthing works but it does feel good to wonder around the garden or campsite barefoot in the warmer months

I have also found this when walking on the strand in bare feet, my feet certainly feel good afterwards.

Thing is though....these people cannot have been that sceptical if they shelled out 69 euros to try it.
I don't know anything about earthing sheets, never heard of them, but people rave about all sorts of things that turn out to be utter nonsense....Is there no way to get a free trial? or a moneyback guarantee before you part with your money?

One presumes that they have to be earthed just like a lightening conductor, they actually sell the earthing rod as an extra.

Given this, how about a silver anklet, a length of copper bell wire a short end of 22mm copper tube and two connectors. wear the silver anklet in bed, attach to wire, bump copper tube into the ground and attach wire. Your earthed!!

Bell wire 7 per hundred metres, copper tube nowt, connectors 10p each supply your own silver anklet.

If your frighten of being struck by lightening just upgrade your wire and it will deal with that too.

Another idea to try it out what about one of those earthing jobbies that computer techs use.

I haven't looked into refunds yet but you can buy an earthing mat for 29euros which is 21.47.

It makes sense, we know the earth isn't dead, it does give off electrical...something or other, but I am not an expert (as you can see ) I just wondered if anyone had one or knew anything about them. And I read the testimonials on Amazon and this website.

Potty perhaps that works too! I'm not sure I want to try it out though!

Well the way I see it is...........people for years have worn Copper bracelets to aid Rheumatics so I say, if it works for the individual then great. For the moment, I'll stick with my lecky blanket but nice concept.

I really do not understand how this could work, a sheet containing silver or any element come to that would still need to be grounded to dissipate any charge. I guess though if I paid 69 I would want to believe it worked! Marketeers are very good a writting testimonials

Lying in bed with an ankle strap wired to the ground smacks of 50 shades of grey to me.

If there was a single grain of truth in this the NHS would supply them and save 5,000 on the cost of a hip operation.
