It's dull as dishwater here, not much planned today. I keep picking up my seed tin and putting it down again. Itching to get started lol.
Went out with the ladies from Age UK yesterday for afternoon tea. Had a lovely time, very posh hotel, but when did afternoon tea get served in mugs? Very nice mugs though

Very cloudy here too. About to put third load into the washing machine. Little done this week in the house due to two late Parents' Evenings. Dad had his long awaited (since August) heart surgery Tuesday, so trip to London tomorrow to visit. Quite a difficult week all in all. Hopefully of bit of relaxing digging this afternoon, well relaxing for the brain!

Gosh tis cold outside, and grey and misty, I thought it was supposed to be warming up?

Yeh- tis a pretty nippy wind here too. Decided to sort my seeds and arrange my seed potatoes on egg boxes to chit. I wasn't going to do that, but I need to count them..there are a heck of a lot of Charlottes in a 5kg bag

We always used to plant about 160 spuds and they lasted us till December but the French seed potatoes are much smaller, so I'm going to count them out and send a few into our local seed and plant swap.

* 150 seed spuds- so I'll keep 130.
I think I must have bought 2x 3kg previously and there were waaay too many!

I am a bit gutted really, I didn't end up going to my interview this afternoon. I have not been well and have spent all day being sick I did phone up to ask to re-arrange the date but they said no and that I'd have to apply again. I will just have keep looking out, but on a brighter note I start my training for a new job on Monday(working in home care) I need to feel better for then!!!!

D'you know something funny about London - they don't have any weather here! I mean it's sort of grey and not very warm, but warmer than everywhere else because of all the heat billowing out of the shop/office doorways - and I think that it might be trying to rain, but it all sort of disappears before it gets to pavement level - most odd.

Right - meeting in a mo round the corner from here, then a beer after work with a chum before heading back to Euston for the train home...

Very envious Hazel, I love London. No one understands why but I just get it...although as OH pointed out it's only certain areas of London I like, the ones I can't afford to live or shop in that is! Haven't managed to get there for around two years now so really itching to go.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Doesn't look as though we are going to see the eclipse tomorrow. Every single time there is something exciting going on in the skies, along come the clouds! Hope where ever you are you get a chance to see it.

Eeevening all - busy day sorting out the house and then taking the dogs to the park. Bless her, Petal loves having extra to eat but her little tummy is full! She is permanently sleepy now

I am back. Just now.

And THAT, Jay is why London does not have a great hold on me - missed the train I aimed to get at Euston, which meant when I got to B'ham NS, I had best part of half an hour to wait for the local train. At least I'm only a few mins walk from the station.

I'm glad that I took my flat shoes to wear for traipsing between meetings - although somewhere along the line I have lost the insole from my 'work' shoes, which must have come out during one of the changes. Hopefully not in someone's reception area.

I am feeling a bit better. I smell of alcohol. Just bottled up my wine that I have made. 1st time doing it and I seem to have got some of it on me. Can't have any tonight, don't want to upset my stomach. But hopefully I can have it tomorrow. I have popped one bottled in the fridge.
