Afternoon peeps! I'm back from belting round the lanes of Staffordshire!

Then on to mum's with my big bro and cards and presents (and for buffet - yum!), then back for a bath. Am now in zombie state - it would be good to do some sewing, but I have yet to work up the enthusiasm!

I'm wondering whether to finally chuck out Domino cat's box on top of the filing cabinet.

Rather like Goldilocks, he finds the filing tray too hard...

Lovely, Flo! My two dogs are having their evening's edible entertainment - that is after doing the washing up on my dinner plate. They both have a radish each to roll round the floor and chew on! Petal seems to have lost hers under the sofa...

How did you get on, Hazel? With the race, not the parsnip wine?

I'm quite happy with the day's endeavours - despite coming in a couple of minutes outside last year's time. I paced it well, and even finished strongly with a good sprint. More concentration on prep in the last few weeks would have polished my pace, so this is pretty much what I deserved.

Over the line, I refrained from punching the girl who I would have easily had at the finish had she not exclaimed NO! as she saw me on her shoulder on the home straight and speeded up (fair enough) then cut me up, forcing me into the 'barrier' as I was trying to overtake (NOT fair enough). Especially as the 'barrier' was a sticks and ropes affair with loads of spectators behind and little tots exactly at inadvertent kicking height.

It was a cold day (5deg) but perfect for running - once you'd warmed up - still, and the threatened rain stayed away. All in all, a good day.
