I've had towels on the line since morning but have had to put them in the tumble drier to get the things dry. Just no drying out there even in a fairly stiff breeze.

Was in London all day yesterday and had a really busy work day today - until lunchtime, that is when we had our Christmas lunch at the local carvery. V nice. Then I took mum to do some shopping, and now I am contemplating a glass of red.

Meanwhile, I've been here all the time apart from a little jaunt to my favourite supermarket (no, not really) to change a pair of boots bought on Click & collect. Shame the size on the tag wasn't the same as the size inside the boot Who'd have believed I would find it so hard to spend �22 in the clothing department. My heart wasn't in it - I just wanted out of there and all the festive fuss. Don't ask why I couldn't get a refund - its just toooooooooo complicated
The only good bit was they'd incorrectly marked down some long sleeved sweaters to �3, instead of �7 so I bought 2.

I'm fine thanks VC you got a good dal on those sweaters, we've just finished off eating out usual Friday evenings fish, chips and mushy peas

I had a very good deal in the end. �22 bought me 2 sweaters, a pair of wellies, a pair of cheapo jeans and 8 pairs of very cheapo knickers But, I never ever want to exchange anything there again. If those jeans don't fit, I'll either lose weight or put it on to make them the right size

Good evening. Got the good news today, me and my fella have got our 1st flat together, we move in on Monday.

Downside is that it does not have a garden. But that's not going to stop me from growing things on nearly every windowsill in the place

I will be keeping him with my mum. I will still be around at hers, specially in more in summer coz she has a garden

Evening everyone, I've just had all home made, all home grown chicken & leek pie with veggies. It was lovely ( even if I do say so my self ). Know washing it down with a pint of home brew ( nothing new about that bit, I do that every night )

Morning All, bright and beautiful day, although it's very cold and windy. Cleaning duties today and the bloomin' vacuum's gone on the blink! Himself has had a look at it I am hoping my son can fix it when he comes tomorrow Have a good day, whatever you're doing.

Today I shall mostly be scrubbing floors and wrapping parcels for the outside tree.

I made my first batch of mince pies yesterday...and they were really yummy...all evening...and all through the night!
