Kettle's on! Bed changing, washing, bathroom cleaning, polishing all going on here, so just time for a quick one.

Going to Majest. the wine merchant later - our wine chap for work has let us down this year so I'm let loose on my own to select the bottles for our annual crate for staff/gifts.

What do I know about wine? Besides I like to glug most of it. Suspect I'm going to be reduced to buying based on how pretty the labels are...

Afternoon. It's frosty here today but with lovely bright sunshine and clear blue sky. I guess I should go out and do something useful at the allotment before getting stuck into putting up decorations. See you later!

Just about done with the housework then more wrapping, the jar of Marmite's going in a box! I've just been putting stuff in "house" bags. I have 3 children and 8 grandchildren, so as well as their wrapped presents I've put tubes of pringles, a box of biscwits, a tin of heroes, a bag of shell nuts and a bottle of bucks fizz in their bags. Hope they like the idea. Thinking about it, I'd like it!

It's funny you should say that Nicos, they surely do . I've just been saddened by going through the card list. I'm sure you all know by now that I only send cards that have to have a stamp and I'm finding that the list is dwindling each year. Makes me feel my age Now shurrup and gerron Flo

Yes, it's very sad Flo .
...but it is always good to stop and reflect on those people who interacted with your life...sort of a sign of respect.
I always take a few minutes to think about my father who died aged 56 when I write the card to my mom.....also other long lost and dearly loved relatives.
Nothing wrong with a tear or a smile at this time of the year with recollections of times spent with those people...grumps and hypochondriacs included!

I have most things stacked up in layers I keep on meaning to have a big chuck out but it doesn't work - other stuff appears from nowhere and inhabits.
