Thanks everbody, OH has already started the task list

Although officially retired I am still the owner of my small but profitable business so will have a a few meetings here and there to take care of. First few weeks will be like holiday I guess so a little unsure of how I will cope with the change. Always said I will do some voluntary work once today arrived so I will have that to keep the old grey cells active. In addition I am about to take on another half plot so plenty to keep off the street corners

                    Happy retirement!

I'm 5 months in. It started off feeling a bit like a holiday ... and it still does! Mrs H hasn't got busy with the to-do list yet, but there's still time...

                        Congratulations GL !!!

More time for growing stuff and enjoying yourself

I met an ex colleague last week who retired at Christmas and she is really struggling to come to terms with it. I suggested about getting an allotment, and whilst her husband agreed - she didn't seem too keen. Ah, well - she doesn't know what she's missing.

Anyway, I must be one of the youngest that posts on here.

I'm happy for you, as I am bigger than petty jealousies.

                          I am jealous, though.

Happy retirement GL - now you will have as much time as you want to either
                                a) raise hell and then blame it on a senior moment
                                or
                                b) count the slugs in your garden
