I miss VVG... But I'm often away for months myself, aren't I, crawling around the veggie patch. Talking to all my precious beans. Does that make me nutty enough for the club?

This year, for example, I was sent the last five seeds (seven or eight years old!) of one really ancient bean variety from the PSA archive. I hatched them in my beancubator, three of them germinated and grew under close supervision inside my slug fence. Woohoo! Seeds from each plant! Variety saved for now... next year I'll have to increase its numbers (as well as a few others I grew for the archive).

So, I may not be an active member all year round but I'm always back for the Virtual Vine Show which I looooove
