Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

Oh dear I just came in to wish Bill HH a Happy MoMship and it's already degenerated.....oh well, enjoy it while you can Bill.
Feral it seems only fitting that a thread about my Mom ship should spin hopelessly out of control For I am probably one of the worst for going off on a tangent. When I go to the shop for salt I come back with eggs.
But I have to say I am enjoying my Mom ship, my wife somehow thinks I am overdoing it (the "I'm a MOM T shirt didn't help) and I have to admit hiring the stretch limo was a tad over the top.
But thank you and all the members who have offered me their congratulations. I wont deny it's been hard work but nothing is too much if its for the vine. its not going to be easy next month when it all ends and I am thrown back into reality, mom less, all the trappings gone, the sash, the car, the press camping outside my house.
Not quite Mother Teresa status though Bill. Her face turned up on a doughnut in Ecuador.
I will be looking in pork pie shops and the like.
Maybe an Eccles cake?
Gone to my head!!!!Not a bit of it, ok I seem to have developed a royal wave as I drive through the village and I found myself blessing the odd child as I did my shopping (but it was a very odd child).
Being the Mom to 10,000 gardeners is quite a responsibility. I was a little disappointed with my local paper "The Herald Express" who flatly refused to do an article about me (what I wrote) I even offered them free courgettes. I thought I had been blessed by divinity this morning when tears started to pour from the eyes of a statue I have against the house wall, Yes! I thought a blessing from above, unfortunately it turned out to be the lavatory cistern overflowing.
