  • baked potato in log burner

I have been looking forward to doing this for months.

And I have just done it.

Cooked a baked potato on some oak embers within the log burner.

It was cooked perfectly inside, after around 45 minutes.

The skin was a little charred, but I think that is because I brushed the potato with olive oil before hand.

    Overall very pleased

When we were in Ireland during the storms last month, the power lines went down with the fallen trees. I cooked potatoes, onion and sausage in the log burner, delicious and a distraction from the weather
