Ha! Darcy my son feels your pain... He broke his thumb playing rugby. 5 weeks in a cast means no school work, rugby, trampoline, circuits, swimming and Xbox !!!! He is so bl@@dy miserable

8 days left now but I can't sleep my foot is in so much pain I'm so scared my bones will not base fused and a non union will be pointed out next week that will start this whole process from day 1!

Also noticed lately (pay few days) that my hill/groin is really really aching like a pounding dull ache where they took the bone graft from I hope it's not infected but surely my skin would be red if that was the case??? Wouldn't it!???

Hope it will all be ok Darcy, sounds like you are getting yourself in a tis was, surely if the bone had become infected it would have done so earlier? Just have to think positively until the end of next week when the cast comes off and you can get your toenails painted, ready for the summer season.

My GP has nothing to do with it apart from prescribe pain killers I spoke to the hospital that I go to this morning and with a fusion they say that the graft area can be sore up to the 6 month mark little more reassured about that at least they can't assess the fusion until my cast comes off but explained that some days it will be sore up to the 18 month mark!!

Just feeling low and want it all done with now I'm getting so fed up
