  • when to plant

I bought a packet of Casablanca seed potatoes today and when taking them out of the packet to chit them I noticed that about 4 of the 15 seed potatoes has chitted. Now it tells me to plant at the end of February after frost has passed should I plant these 4 now and cover or wait to the end of February advice needed.

Just rub the chits off and let them start again

Put them on a tray/in egg boxes, somewhere light and cool (don't let them freeze) they'll then make nice short chits ready for planting after mid March.
Unless you plan to put them into pots in the greenhouse - when it can be a couple of weeks earlier.

^^^^^ wot she said. I won't be planting my spuds until the third week in April. You are south of me so your last frost will be before mine so you will be able to plant earlier. Don't be in too much of a hurry

Depends on what you mean by chitted David. I would just put them in egg trays on a cool light windowsill and wait till planting time.
