Stunningly beautiful autumn morning here, after a little rain yesterday everything is lovely and fresh.

Morning we woke to the first icy garden of the season so i'm feeling a bit smug that I fleeced and cloched my courgettes yesterday evening. not peeped under them yet though.

Afternoon I made it back from the garden centre in one piece. I did not have to elbow anyone out the way to get to the on offer fruit and veg! I am not going back there again now till next year. This is my 3rd day I have been in there, they will start to think I work there if I carry on going ha. I am now going to relax until I have to make tea. I'd ask my fella, but he is hungover and feeling sorry for himself. Anyway have a lovely afternoon/evening. Will talk later

How did the cooking go Scarlet?

The cooking bit was fab, the dirty dishes not so. The stay over guests now gone home but the dishwasher is still going. I'm really looking forward to a quiet night tonight

It was lovely here today. I spent half of it finishing sorting out photos from my Alaska cruise holiday a year ago but glad to get it finished at last. Then spent a few happy hours down the allotment. Such a lot to do!

No ice here, but felt really cold this morning. After that a beautiful day - took littlest helper to the allotment this afternoon and she did a bit of "digging" while I collected a couple of sweetcorn cobs for dinner tonight. Bless her, she loves getting dirty

The day turned out nice after all was just a bit of a shock seeing ice puddles this morning. but it did bring the birds to the table of and on all day so that was good.

Evening All. Been a luvly sunshiny day but its turned nippy now. Forecast for heavy rain overnight too.
Spent most of today in the bramble patch. How do the nasty vicious things manage to grow so long while your back's turned

Evening all... Nice but cold here today!

Had a wee nosey at your holiday snaps Martin...stunning. Going to do that cruise one day. Our aunt and uncle live in Seattle and often do that cruise as they can pick it up quite cheaply sometimes. Have promised to do it with them soon.

Well you lot are no use at all. I told you all to stop me but now I learn that my darling dog's half sister is up for adoption so what else can I do? She is happiest with other dogs if she can't be with me...

I hope VC is on the ball this evening as we may need some help this week, getting back to the animal sanctuary!

This might be the answer for you Jean, at least Rosie will have company and you will be able to leave the house without her. Either that, or you'll have TWO howling dogs lol

Morning its a wet and windy out on the plus side the leaves are falling so all the free leaf mold.

All of a sudden, Autumn has appeared. Can hear the rain, it's chilly and grey, but we need the rain, and the trees are beginning to change to beautiful Autumn colours. Now what to do today?
