Dog swam about 12 times round the little swimming pool - with a buoyancy jacket on at first then without. She is a good little swimmer which reassures me when we go walking by the canal. She then had a shower and a blow dry so she is all fluffy this evening
Contrary to expectations, it did not tire her out for the rest of the day

I have the rare distinction of rescuing an AA man, he had tried to turn his recovery vehicle in a wet field and got bogged down, he walked to our farm and asked if I could pull him out with my tractor. I couldnt resist asking him if he was a member of BB (Bills breakdowns).

Spent a couple of hours this afternoon conducting Troon Nursery kids round the site pointing out all the things currently being grown - thereafter they potted up sunflower seeds and each took one home - staff were very grateful and now want their own plot.

Can't resist mentioning that my eldest grandson beat both his opponents in a three way play off tonight to win the Troon Junior Chess Championship 2013-2014.
